Dr. Amar Bose, founder of the Bose Corporation, has gifted his alma mater the majority shareholding in his corporation. The university will receive annual dividends to further education and research. Dr. Bose received his degrees at MIT and taught there until 2001. Dr. Bose received his bachelor’s, masters’ and doctorate degree from the university. His degrees were all in electrical engineering, he then served as a faculty member from 1956 up until 2001.

After years of declaring he stood for “truth, justice and the American way,” Superman has provoked the ire of rightwingers by threatening to renounce his US citizenship.
In the latest issue of Action Comics, which went on sale on Wednesday, the Man of Steel decides to take the step after he intervenes in a protest against the Iranian government.
After the Islamic regime brands his non-violent protest as an act of war taken on behalf of the US president, the DC comic hero says he will renounce his citizenship before the United Nations.
“I’m tired of having my actions construed as instruments of US policy,” he says.

Indian-American physician Siddhartha Mukherjee’s acclaimed book on cancer, ‘The Emperor of All Maladies: A Biography of Cancer,’ has won the prestigious 2011 Pulitzer prize in the general non-fiction category.
According to the Pulitzer citation, the book by the New York-based cancer physician and researcher is “an elegant inquiry, at once clinical and personal, into the long history of an insidious disease that, despite treatment breakthroughs, still bedevils medical science”. Mukherjee is an assistant professor of medicine at Columbia University and a staff cancer physician at Columbia University Medical Centre. A Rhodes scholar, he graduated from Stanford University, University of Oxford, Harvard Medical School. He has published articles in Nature, The New England Journal of Medicine, The New York Times and The New Republic.

Rossi has joined the Oakley family as a brand ambassador. He said: “I chose to work with Oakley because they share my ambitious nature. Their focus on technology and innovation is what makes the quality of Oakley products so exceptional.”
Rossi currently endorses Oakley’s holbrook Sunglasses, and is working with the company to design the VR46 Signature Holbrook edition. In Italy and Spain, it’ll be Rossi’s mug that becomes the symbol of the iconic sunglasses company.
For 2011 MotoGP, Rossi moved to the Ducati Team after seven years with Yamaha, and is now teammates with the American Nicky Hayden. Rossi, who is a nine-time World Champion, took seventh at the opening round of 2011 MotoGP at Losail International Circuit, Qatar.

The bracelet dons a simple yet sincere message, ‘We pray for Japan’ in both English and Japanese, alongside her signature claw. The singer draws lots of artistic inspiration from the country, especially as her stylist, Nicola Formichetti, is half Japanese. The bands will be available on March 25th and cost just $5 (£3).
