A Guava named Aishwarya gyaniz
Grafting expert and Padmashree horticulturist Haji Kaleemullah Khan has developed a sweeter variety of guava and named it after Bollywood actress Aishwarya Rai. The new variety of guava resembles an apple in texture and is more sweet smelling and has more pulp. Kaleemullah also said, “One can get as many as 72 fruits on a 3.7 foot long tree“.
Kaleemullah is known for growing unique variety of fruits especially mangoes. In May last year, the 70-year-old Khan grafted a new variety of mango, which he named after batsman Sachin Tendulkar.
He won the Padmashree for growing more than 300 varieties of mangoes of different shapes and sizes on one tree. The tree is about 100 years old and he started working on it in 1987 to develop the craft of growing different varieties on one tree.

Dashing through the cobble stoned streets, past fountains and through ancient arches, Kate Winslet, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan and Asian star Chi Ling Lin give the Roman paparazzi the slip. All while wearing their gold and steel Dolce Vita watches that they frequently consult. Longines have astutely avoided the bimbo model and instead chosen three accomplished women from around the globe who also happen to be pretty.

Lakme’s new brand ambassador is Shakti Kapoor’s daughter Shraddha Kapoor.
After models like Indrani Das Gupta, Amrit Maghera and Lisa Haydon, actress Shraddha Kapoor will endorse cosmetic giant Lakmé as its new face. In the past, a bevy of beautiful women including Rekha, Aishwarya Rai, Bipasha Basu, Lisa Ray, Yana Gupta, Raima Sen and Katrina Kaif endorsed Lakmé.
As the new face for the brand, Shraddha will be part of the advertising campaigns and will also walk the ramp at the grand finale of Lakmé Fashion Week. She made her debut in a film, Teen Patti alongside Amitabh Bachchan, R Madhavan, and Raima Sen in 2010.
