Tanishq (the jewellery arm of the Tata group) has selected leading Bollywood couple Amitabh Bachchan and Jaya Bachchan, as the brand ambassadors for its diamond range.
The brand has outlined a focus of delivering hi-quality diamond jewellery coupled with exquisite designs, this year and believes this tie-up between the popularity that the couple command across age groups and the brand’s commitment will support its plans.

Amitabh Bachchan has been dropped from the position of IIFA’s brand ambassador. The actor remained the face of the international award show for past 10 years ever since the awards began in the year 2000. “Not coming to Toronto IIFA. IIFA says my services are not required,” he tweeted.

Tendulkar has signed deals worth Rs. 12-13 crore with apparel maker S Kumars Nationwide (SKNL) for their brand World Player, within days of Coca-Cola announcing a Rs 20-crore, three-year contract with him. SKNL already has big brand ambassadors such as Shah Rukh Khan for Belmonte and Amitabh Bachchan for luxury suitings brand Reid and Taylor.
Coca Cola signed Tendulkar as its ‘happiness ambassador’, laying the pitch for a Tendulkar-M S Dhoni face-off in the cola battlefield this season.

FMCG firm Emami has signed up with Bipasha Basu to endorse the company’s brands. The brands she would be endorsing are yet to be finalised. Emami also has a host of other Bollywood celebrities including Amitabh Bachchan, Shah Rukh Khan, Kareena Kapoor, Preity Zinta and Indian cricket team captain MS Dhoni on board as endorsers for various brands including Boro Plus, Navratna hair oil, Fair & Handsome, and Sona Chandi Chywanprash.

Lakme’s new brand ambassador is Shakti Kapoor’s daughter Shraddha Kapoor.
After models like Indrani Das Gupta, Amrit Maghera and Lisa Haydon, actress Shraddha Kapoor will endorse cosmetic giant Lakmé as its new face. In the past, a bevy of beautiful women including Rekha, Aishwarya Rai, Bipasha Basu, Lisa Ray, Yana Gupta, Raima Sen and Katrina Kaif endorsed Lakmé.
As the new face for the brand, Shraddha will be part of the advertising campaigns and will also walk the ramp at the grand finale of Lakmé Fashion Week. She made her debut in a film, Teen Patti alongside Amitabh Bachchan, R Madhavan, and Raima Sen in 2010.
