United Biscuits, the world’s third largest producer of biscuits has signed on Bollywood Superstar Bipasha Basu and leading South Indian actor Shriya Saran for endorsing its flagship brand McVitie’s in India. The first ever Digestive biscuit was created by a new young employee, Alexander Grant. The name Digestive was derived from its high content of baking soda as an aid to food digestion

FMCG firm Emami has signed up with Bipasha Basu to endorse the company’s brands. The brands she would be endorsing are yet to be finalised. Emami also has a host of other Bollywood celebrities including Amitabh Bachchan, Shah Rukh Khan, Kareena Kapoor, Preity Zinta and Indian cricket team captain MS Dhoni on board as endorsers for various brands including Boro Plus, Navratna hair oil, Fair & Handsome, and Sona Chandi Chywanprash.

Lakme’s new brand ambassador is Shakti Kapoor’s daughter Shraddha Kapoor.
After models like Indrani Das Gupta, Amrit Maghera and Lisa Haydon, actress Shraddha Kapoor will endorse cosmetic giant Lakmé as its new face. In the past, a bevy of beautiful women including Rekha, Aishwarya Rai, Bipasha Basu, Lisa Ray, Yana Gupta, Raima Sen and Katrina Kaif endorsed Lakmé.
As the new face for the brand, Shraddha will be part of the advertising campaigns and will also walk the ramp at the grand finale of Lakmé Fashion Week. She made her debut in a film, Teen Patti alongside Amitabh Bachchan, R Madhavan, and Raima Sen in 2010.
