Cricket Australia announced plans to restructure the KFC T20 league which was started in 2005 by including privately owned-teams and instead of state teams the teams will be city teams and will therefore produce a more entertaining extravaganza. Cricket Australia confirmed that Private investors will be allowed to buy a 33% stake in the eight-city teams that are planned from the 2011-12 Big Bash season. Though the CA feels that it will not be able to match the IPL in terms of revenues, but will provide a wholesome entertainment to match IPL bonanza.
