Kerala Tourism’s new campaign called “Your Moment is Waiting” was launched in London in Sep’2010. It features the international model Miriam Ilorah, ‘Your Moment is Waiting’ takes one “through the land, raw and refined, sensual and spiritual, flowing slowly, languorously, stirring memory with desire, the real with the surreal”. It is filmed in key locations in and around Thekkady, Alappuzha, Munnar, Thalassery and Kannur in northern Kerala.

The film was conceived by Stark Communications, the brand agency for Kerala Tourism, and directed by renowned director Prakash Varma.

The critics Take:

The critics have claimed the campaign to be inspired by Ashes and Snow experience. It’s difficult to correlate to the background music as well, especially towards the end, it was more like a Zulu war cry rather than any folklore music as many critics cited.

The Gyaniz Take:

Though the campaign has left out many of the elements highlighted in all the previous campaigns for the brand like the Chinese fishing nets, Backwaters, Mohiniattam and the Coconut tress of course. But the fact that this campaign aims at the new business class audience which is already aware of the heritage of Kerala, and looks forward to a mystic destination in their next travel. The campaign has subtly enthralled his mind and has been a hit on the International arena doing the purpose for which it was made.
