1. K. Asif : Director of the movie
2. M.F. Hussain : Has paid his personal tribute to K. Asif’s epic film “Mughal-E-Azam” by recreating the movie’s fabulous scenes in a series of exquisite paintings.
3. Nargis : Was originally chosen to play Anarkali against Chandramohan, which got shelved due to the latter’s death.
4. Shapoorji Pallonji Mistry: The film was produced under the banner of Sterling Investment Corporation Pvt Ltd. (a firm owned by Shapoorji Pallonji Mistry).

it inspired artist M F Husain to paint a series of canvasses dedicated to the unrequited love of Prince Salim and courtesan Anarkali.

Shapoorji Pallonji Mistry was the producer

Nargis was supposed to play anarkali, but teh project was shelved
